Which Staff member recommended you?(1 or more recommendation(s) from a Mod+ is required.): Gooby
How old are you?: 13
Do you have a mic?: Yes
Can you fluently speak English?: Yes
Do you have any warns in the server? If so, how many? (You will be denied if you have more than 2 warns.): No
Why do you want to be part of the staff team?(Must be relevant to the question and be 1 paragraph minimum): I would like to be a staff member on the Saiph community because I believe that the server should have more staff that are great and can deal with reports quickly and efficient. I have owned servers in the past as well as being staff on a few servers beforehand and I know how to manage staff members as well as deal with misbehaving players. I think that this should be a new opportunity for a new server to start up and grow, but in order to do that you need a good and strong staff team in order to defend the server from players who are ignorant of the rules. As well as being part of the moderation side, I am also a part-time hobbyist developer who knows how to code Garry's Mod addons, meaning that I can develop custom addons for the server such as ULX commands.
How long have you been on the server?: 5h
How many hours do you currently have in Garry's Mod?: 460h
Do you have any past experience staffing Garry's Mod servers?: Yes
What times are you usually on the server?: During weekdays (where school takes place) I am on from about 16:30, on the weekends I'm on from about 10:00
What time zone do you live in?: GMT
Do you understand and agree to the fact that if you are accepted you are going to have to put the server in front of your role-playing time?: Yes
In-game Scenarios
Two players are heavily disputing in chat and/or voice, how do you handle the situation?: I would give them a verbal warning for an initial warning. If they don't stop, I will move on to warnings. If it continues, I'll move on to mutes, then kicks, and if it gets way too far, it will become a temp ban.
A player RDMs someone, and when asked why they say that their friend told them to. How do you handle this situation?: I would tell them that they shouldn't listen to their friend, since their friend is encouraging them to break server rules. I would then bring the friend and ask why they want the person RDMed. I would follow normal punishment procedures after that.
A player breaks a rule and says he didn't know because he is new. How do you resolve the situation?: I would give him a verbal warning and tell him to read the rules. If they break another rule, normal punishment procedures will be followed.
A player calls RDM, how do you know who's telling the truth, and how do you handle the situation?: I would check logs to confirm each party's stories. If the accusing party's story checks out, I would warn the other party with standard procedure. If it doesn't, I'll let the sit go.
A player kills you, and you know it was completely random. How do you handle the situation?: I would ask another staff member to deal with the case, since I am not allowed to handle my own sits.
A player is blocking a pathway/door, preventing players from passing through. How do you resolve the situation?: I would ask the player to remove the prop, and if they refuse I'll just remove it. If it happens again I'll remove it and warn them.[/b]
